Registration Opening Soon for the 2023 Baseball Season!

We are excited to announce that registration for the 2023 season will be opening  soon! We have partnered with RAMP Interactive and are hosting registrations online in the coming days!

To register for baseball in Manitoba and become a member of Baseball Manitoba, you must register for baseball with SWCC if you are in the catchment area.  If you are unsure about which association you below to, please refer to our Boundary Page. be redirected to our online registration system.

Note that registration typically opens in February or March and ends in April. Teams are formed by mid-April and begin practicing in late April. Games typically begin on or around May 1 and run into July. In Winnipeg and the surrounding area, Community Clubs are most common and each club may have a baseball convener. In rural Manitoba, many communities have baseball associations. 

 

SWCC Baseball Director is Vacant. We are looking for someone to join our board to coordinate our baseball program.

Outdoor Rinks Closed – Feb 2nd and 3rd

Outdoor rinks at Waverley and Richmond will be closed today and tomorrow, February 2nd and 3rd due to extreme cold temperatures.

Rinks will be closed on days colder than -25°C or a Windchill factor that exceeds -28°C.

Outdoor Rink 2023

Waverley Site & Richmond Site: RINKS OPEN ⛸️

Waverley Site Rinks: Monday to Thursday open from 10:00 a.m. to 8:30 p.m.

* Change-room open from 10:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.

Friday to Sunday open from 9:00 a.m. to 8:30 p.m.

Richmond Site: Sunday to Saturday (7 days) open from 9:30 a.m. to 9:30 p.m.

* Change-room (Side Door) open from 9:30 a.m. to 9:30 p.m.

For the 2023 Winter Session lights will be on from 4:30 p.m. – 8:30 p.m.

Note that the clubhouse and change rooms are open:


Waverley Rinks –

  • Rink 1 – Open

  • Rink 2 – Open

  • Rink 3 – Open

Please note that sites may opt to temporarily close rinks due to extreme cold, unseasonable warm weather (in order to preserve the ice surface) or for safety reasons.


The use of a proper fitting CSA-approved hockey helmet with a mask is strongly recommend  for all age groups.
